SOLUTION ARCHITECT (ERP)

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Solution Architect will work directly with our client’s program team, IT and business areas. You will provide strategic and technical guidance, and lead or assist with developing solution architectures, particularly for the delivery of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Contribute to the review, development and sustainment of application governance artefacts, including strategies, architectures, technology roadmaps, policies and practices
• Review existing on-premise and cloud application deployments, including documentation, sustainability and alignment with governance
• Document issues, risks and opportunities from review findings, with actionable recommendations
• Work with IT, business areas and application development teams on the scoping, costing, planning and delivery of new application services
• Ensure technical strategies, policies, standards and practices (including security) are applied correctly and consistently
• Evaluate requests for changes and deviations from specifications, and recommend actions to delegates and governance bodies for endorsement or decision
• Work as part of an Agile project or program team, or a business-as-usual area, as directed
• Perform other duties as directed from time to time by Directors, Team Leaders or a delegate
ABOUT THE TEAM
You will join a strategic program to modernise and streamline our client’s core corporate systems, bringing eight essential platforms together under one coordinated program.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
• 5+ years of experience as a Solution (Application) Architect
• Proven experience designing applications and solutions for cloud environments
• Proven experience designing and documenting applications that meet business requirements and align with strategic vision and operational constraints
• Well-developed communication skills, including distilling technical information into plain English and communicating with influence
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships, and to translate clearly between technical teams and business areas
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including managing risk and delivering fit-for-purpose solutions
• An active Baseline security clearance and the ability to obtain a Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
• Tertiary qualifications or industry-recognised certification in Information Management, Computer Science or a relevant discipline
• Experience delivering large-scale ICT transformation projects or programs, preferably in a Commonwealth Government setting
• Knowledge of Commonwealth Government frameworks, including ICT frameworks
• Understanding of Agile ways of working (for example Scrum, Kanban or SAFe)
• Experience delivering solution architecture outcomes across ERP solutions
• Experience delivering solution architecture outcomes across ServiceNow
